ASP Membership
Why join us?
We are one of the most active astronomical society in Malaysia. Our society is run by a group of astronomy enthusiasts who’s aim is to create awareness and get the community to engage in astronomy related events and workshops. Some event’s are free for public to take part but many are exclusively organised for members only.
What type of membership suites me?
1. Ordinary Member (Annual / Lifetime)
– MUST BE Citizen of Malaysia
– MUST BE Age 18 years and above
– MUST BE Resident of Penang State
2. Associate Member
– Applicant who DOES NOT fulfill ALL of the requirements of Ordinary Member
– An associate member may apply to be an ordinary member shall he/she fulfill ALL of the requirements above in the future
What benefit will I get joining as a member?
Members are entitled:
– a free annual astronomy calendar (published by ASP)
– enjoy concessions on events, workshops and trips organised by the society
– access to our ASP library and members’ space in Pearl of Orion Centre
