ASP@home is a program by Astronomical Society of Penang (ASP) to encourage hands-on astronomy learning that can be done at home. Teachers are invited to join this training to enrich your science lesson at school. 1000 sets of materials are prepared to be handed out to the first 20 teachers registered for this program. Teachers will be trained to conduct 4 modules in their classes online. the teachers’ training will be held on 29th August 2020 (Saturday) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Google Meet platform.

Sundial

Learn how to tell time using the position of the Sun on the sky.

In this module, you will learn how to observe the Sun safely, what is going on inside the sun, what do we see on the sun, and many more underlying physics of the Sun

sOLAR SYSTEM SCALE

Learn the family members of solar system and the structure of the solar system.

Not necessarily. You can also be representative of your school’s science or astronomy club, endorsed by your teacher.

To keep it fair for other school, we limit the free materials to 50 per school. But the teacher can still join and get recognized.

This program is allowed by the education department of Penang state(JPNPP). please contact us to get the approval letter by JPNPP. the official invitation letter by ASP will be provided once you are registered.
