On Thursday, 20 April 2023, a Partial Solar Eclipse will be visible in Penang from 11:19 a.m. to 12:36 p.m. For Penang, the maximum obscuration of the Sun by the Moon will be 3.3% at 11:57 a.m.
The Astronomical Society of Penang will be conducting a public observation of the eclipse in PIXO Observatory of Tech Dome Penang.
The event starts with a talk titled “Hybrid, Total and Partial Solar Eclipse of 20 April 2023” at 10:30 a.m.
at the Lecture Hall of Tech Dome Penang.
The event will then be followed by the observation of the eclipse at 11:15 a.m.
The talk and Partial Solar Eclipse Observation is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
